New Specialty Carbon Black Technology Center has started to perform its duty since Nov
Relocated from the old laboratory to our new Technology Center, our LABs have been operational since Nov, with plans underway for further upgrades to enhance our capabilities. This technology center brings together the most advanced testing equipment and a first-class technical team, dedicated to provid customers with a full range of support and services.
It includes several main labs:
- 1. Physical and chemical lab;
- 2. Specialty carbon black application lab;
- 3. Specialty carbon black development lab.
From innovative material testing to coating formulation improvement, our technology center will help customers achieve the best balance in product performance, stability and cost-effectiveness. At the same time, professional testing of carbon black products is also provided here to help customers reduce trial and error and improve product quality.
Our company Anhui Black Cat Material Science Co., Ltd has established comprehensive physical and chemical laboratories.
The physical and chemical laboratory focuses on analyzing the properties of carbon black: BET surface area, Iodine absorption numbers, DBP absorption value, Tinting strength, PH value, Ash content, Transmittance of toluene etc.
The application laboratory is dedicated to assessing speicalty carbon black's performance in downstream applications, including plastics, coatings, and inks.
- 1. The plastics laboratory is equipped with advanced devices like internal mixers, injection molding machines, and screw extruders, ensuring efficient integration from testing to production.
- 2. For coatings and inks, our lab is outfitted with dispersers, shaking box, bead mills, three-roller mills, and UV curing machines, as well as professional testing instruments like the BYK multi-angle spectrophotometer and the X-Rite benchtop colorimeter to meet diverse application needs.
- 3. For sealant, we have lab double planetary mixer which can conduct sealant application test with viscosity up to 2 million cps.
In addition, we have also introduced laser particle sizer to further enhance our testing capabilities for carbon black dispersibility in both micron and nano size and particle size distribution.
The opening of our new Technology Center marks a significant step toward our goal of technological leadership in the specialty carbon black field. We look forward to bringing excellent technical support and solutions to every customer in future projects!
